1. The relationship

Rudia gives you a storefront, checkout, subscription billing and messaging for your own business. You remain the seller of record: you set your prices, your delivery days, and you are responsible for what you sell and for fulfilling every order you accept.

2. Commission and payouts

Rudia charges a commission of 10% of the subtotal on every sale, deducted automatically at the moment of payment (a “split” charge). You keep 100% of the delivery fee. There is no monthly fee to list your store. Your share of each payment settles to the M-Pesa or bank details you provide during onboarding. A commission change agreed with Rudia applies to future sales only — it never changes the terms of a subscription cycle a buyer has already paid for.

Separately, Rudia charges buyers a service fee of 10% of your price. It is added on top of the price you set, so buyers see your price plus the service fee everywhere on Rudia; Rudia keeps it, and it never comes out of your share. Your commission is still calculated on your own price, not on the price the buyer sees. Your dashboard, orders and revenue figures always show your prices and your takings. When an order is refunded, Rudia returns the service fee on the refunded items to the buyer from its own share.

3. Delivery

You choose how you deliver: yourself, or through a courier you book directly. If you use a courier, you are responsible for that courier’s performance, and you record the courier’s name, tracking reference and cost on the order so buyers and your own dashboard can see it. Rudia is not a party to your arrangement with any courier.

4. Stock and fulfilment

You are responsible for keeping stock accurate. A subscription that cannot be fulfilled because you are out of stock is paused automatically and the buyer is not charged — repeated stock failures affect your standing on the platform.

5. Buyer data

You may use a buyer’s contact details only to fulfil their order or subscription with your store. You may not use them for marketing outside Rudia, and you may not share them with anyone else.

6. Refunds

Refunds for non-delivery or damage are processed as described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy. You authorise Rudia to deduct a confirmed refund from a future settlement where a direct claw-back is not possible.

7. Suspension

Rudia may suspend a store for repeated delivery failures, a prohibited product, a payment dispute, or a legal request. Suspension pauses new orders and any affected subscriptions; it does not cancel money already properly earned. Closing your store is handled by our support team as a wind-down — there is no self-service delete, so that in-flight orders and buyer subscriptions are handled properly rather than left stranded.

8. Prohibited categories

The following may never be listed on Rudia: alcohol, tobacco/vape, pharmaceuticals, firearms, live animals.
